Customer Service Representative

The successful candidate will be responsible for sales of corporate products to business and industrial establishments over the telephone and internet. The Industrial Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative will maintain accounts and conduct day to day activities to keep account customers satisfied. Daily activities include heavy phone and internet correspondence with customers and vendors; source custom, non‑standard, value‑added solutions to customer problems;

enter all sales orders and purchase orders into the computer system; and set up part numbers and manage contract files.

• Sell industrial hose, gasket and piping products and maintain customer accounts
• Take orders on the phone and over the internet
• Enter orders and product quotes into the computer system
• Emphasize sellable features, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders obtained
• Estimate delivery dates based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules and inventory
• Prepare reports of business transactions in the company database
• Work with account managers to keep account activities up to date
• Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries
• This position is onsite and does not offer a remote work arrangement

• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, solid models and engineering data to translate into an assembly bill of materials, price and quote from available information, then produce fabrication drawings
• Establish component part numbers, set up assembly parts, enter orders, purchase components, create drawings/die files for all branches, schedule projects with production, and follow orders through the process from door to door, solving any problems along the way
• Manage all files including purchase orders, drawings, specifications and models, ensuring orders are followed through from door to door

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree or higher is preferred
• Must possess good working knowledge of engineering principles, solid modeling, welding and fabrication
• Must be able to successfully function in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and Solid Works
• Knowledge of industrial hose, gasket and piping is required
