Role HighlightsBe one of the first points of contact for prospective clients and families seeking criminal defense representation. This is a sales-focused position for an experienced professional with a proven ability to build relationships with inbound prospects and help qualified prospective clients move forward with retaining professional services.
Your primary responsibility is to build trust, understand each prospective client’s concerns, clearly communicate how the firm can help, discuss legal fees and payment options, answer questions, and confidently guide qualified prospective clients through the decision to retain the firm.
- Speak with prospective clients and families seeking immediate legal help with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Build trust, understand the caller’s concerns, communicate the firm’s value, answer questions, and guide qualified prospective clients through the retention process.
- Discuss legal fees and payment options clearly and confidently.
- Follow up consistently with prospective clients throughout the decision-making process.
- Accurately manage leads, follow-up activity, and client communications in the firm’s CRM.
- Work closely with the firm’s attorneys and team to provide prospective clients with a professional and supportive experience from their first contact through retention.
Skills: Proven phone sales experience; strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills; confidence discussing fees and payment options; ability to connect with prospective clients with empathy while helping them make an informed decision about hiring the firm. Criminal defense or law firm sales experience is strongly preferred. Spanish fluency is a plus.

- Proven experience speaking with inbound prospects and successfully guiding them through a purchasing or hiring decision is required.
- Criminal defense or law firm sales experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
- Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required.
- Must be comfortable discussing legal fees and payment options and guiding prospective clients through the retention process.
- Must be comfortable working in a CRM and accurately documenting lead activity, follow-up activity, and client communications.
- Must have a disciplined and consistent approach to follow-up.
- Must be available to speak with prospective clients during assigned hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- Must be empathetic, confident, results-driven, and able to communicate effectively with people facing stressful and time-sensitive situations.
