ARI-Hetra is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty lifting equipment featuring our ball-screw based technology designed to safely raise and lower trucks and buses so mechanics can properly perform service and removal of components. ARI-Hetra also provides selected shop equipment including wheel service, wheel dollies, brake lathes, etc. We are looking to hire an energetic and ambitious Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead our sales effort in Northern California and Northern Nevada market.
As such, we are looking for someone to operate out of the Sacramento, CA. area. Our requirement is that the RSM live in the assigned territory for ease of communication and travel. The position comes with a vehicle supplied by ARI and a credit card to be used in conjunction with ARI business. Base salary with quarterly bonus and profit sharing based on sales & commissions.
Responsibilities of an ARI Regional Sales Manager
- Visiting existing ARI customers to solidify relationships and make sure existing equipment is properly working. Continue the process of up-selling to the existing customer base,
- Visiting and identifying/acquiring new customers both municipal and private.
- Developing and managing regional sales budgets and expenses,
- Participating in weekly information gathering exercises with the home office to improve operations and customer relationships,
- Building strong relationships with key accounts in both municipal and private customers in the territory,
- Managing and leading regional sales teams to achieve sales targets in line with negotiated KPIs and targets,
- Conducting market research and monitoring competitor activity in the region
- Prepare regular reports and conduct weekly conferences to review performance and work together to establish goals.
- Analyzing market trends and competitor activities in the region,
- Helping select and participate in regional events and trade shows,
- Strategically determine if working with distributors is in the best interests of the company,
- Assist in recommending and establishing pricing for key customers,
- Initiate and help justify the need for selective discounting to win large projects.
- Help prepare specifications for key accounts.
- Perform a demonstration of key equipment for selected customers/users in the territory,
- Establish an expected number of personal visits (known as “check-ins”) with customers in the territory as a measure of achieving minimum contact and follow through,
- Work with intra-company personnel to provide adequate service and ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with VP Marketing to achieve marketing goals for N. Cal., & N. Nevada area. Collaborate closely with VP Sales.
- Do you have at least 3 years of outside B2B sales experience managing a geographic territory and developing new business?
- Do you have experience selling industrial equipment, automotive/heavy-duty equipment, capital equipment, or another technical product to commercial or government customers?
- This position requires significant field activity, including prospecting, face-to-face customer visits, product demonstrations, and regular travel throughout the assigned territory. Are you comfortable working independently and consistently conducting in-person sales calls?

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
