Membership Development Manager

The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce serves member businesses across eight counties:
Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, and Pike.

The Membership Development Manager is responsible for growing our member base and fostering active involvement and high satisfaction among current members. In this role, you will prospect and recruit new business partners while actively educating existing members on chamber benefits, resources, and opportunities they may not be fully leveraging.

This is a sales-driven position offering a competitive base salary plus monthly sales commission. Candidates must provide their own reliable transportation for travel within our eight-county region.

• Serve as the primary sales support contact for prospective and existing members, driving membership acquisition and lead follow-up.
• Execute member retention initiatives, using needs assessments, targeted communication, and tailored engagement strategies to boost retention rates.
• Design and implement proactive outreach and recruitment programs to continuously grow the membership pipeline.
• Conduct personal visits and educational briefings to inform members of Chamber resources, benefits, and events to maximize participation.
• Build strong member relationships through multi-channel communication, including personal visits, phone calls, emails, text messages, and social media.
• Provide general administrative support and assist with daily office operations.
• Additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

• Work Location: Hybrid / Flexible (mix of in-office, field travel, and remote work)
• Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% within the eight-county region (Required)
