Position Overview
We are looking for a Director of Account Management who can lead our account management team, build strong client relationships at the highest level, raise the standard of client communication, and help our clients clearly see the value of our work.
The Director of Account Management owns the performance of the account management team and the health of our full portfolio of child care and early education clients. You will coach and develop Account Managers; set the standard for proactive, personalized client communication; step into escalations and high-stakes conversations; and help ensure every client has a positive experience and a clear reason to continue working with us.
You will also drive team-wide results across renewals, upsells, testimonials, and client satisfaction, while building the playbooks, systems, and reporting that support long-term account growth.
Compensation- Salary Band: USD $4,000 to $4,500 per month, paid in USD.
- Performance Bonuses:
Additional earning potential tied to team renewals, upsells, and client results.
- Work That Matters:
You transform lives by connecting families who need quality child care with the providers who serve them. - Recession-Proof Growth:
An established, fast-growing company that continues to thrive while many competitors struggle. - Leadership That Has Your Back: A supportive, attentive team that answers your questions and helps you grow, professionally and personally.
- An Owner Who Shows Up:
Our owner is actively involved in the business - not just a name on the door. - Small-Team Feel: A friendly, tight-knit environment where you are a person, not a headcount.
- Remote-First Flexibility:
Work remotely while staying connected to a fast-moving, collaborative team. Buffalo-area candidates may also have opportunities for occasional in-person meetings, strategy sessions, or team gatherings. - Top-of-Market Pay:
We pay above market because we hire the best and want to keep them. - Train to Be the Best:
Access $100K+ in training, courses, and materials - enough to make you more knowledgeable than 99.9% of the account management leaders our competitors employ. - A Workspace That Feels Alive:
Working from home can get lonely, so our virtual Sims-like office keeps the team connected day to day. - Quarterly Town Halls:
Every quarter, you get a full state-of-the-company update, so you are never guessing where things stand. - The Dream-On Program:
Each year, our CEO grants multiple wishes pulled straight from team members' dream boards. - 25 Days Off: A full 25 paid days off per year, because we want you to have a real life outside work.
- Paid Days to Give Back: 4 paid days a year to volunteer with any charity you choose.
Within your first 90 days, you will build strong relationships with your team and across the client portfolio and begin taking full ownership of team performance. Ongoing, you will be measured on:
- Team Renewals:
Meet or exceed monthly and annual renewal targets across the full book of clients by ensuring every Account Manager proactively demonstrates the value we deliver. - Member Success:
Drive measurable marketing results for the child care businesses we serve, so their success becomes the clearest reason to stay. - Upsell Growth:
Build a consistent pipeline of upsell opportunities across the team and coach Account Managers to expand accounts with services and packages that genuinely help clients grow. - Team Development:
Hire, onboard, coach, and develop Account Managers so every client gets the same high standard of communication, follow-through, and results. - Testimonials & Reviews:
Turn happy clients into advocates at scale by driving a steady flow of testimonials, reviews, and case studies across the portfolio. - Escalations & Saves:
Step into at-risk accounts and difficult conversations early, turning potential cancellations into renewed, healthy relationships. - Internal
Collaboration:
Coordinate with strategists, media buyers, designers, copywriters, and operations teammates so work moves forward without confusion or dropped balls.
- Running one-on-ones and team meetings with Account Managers to review portfolio health, renewals, and upsell pipelines.
- Joining high-stakes client calls, renewal conversations, and escalations alongside your team.
- Reviewing campaign performance and coaching Account Managers to translate numbers into plain-English insights clients can understand.
- Auditing at-risk accounts and building save plans before clients have to ask for one.
- Coordinating next steps with internal specialists so campaigns, reports, and deliverables stay on track.
