Avocet Hospitality Group is looking for a savvy, driven, and genuinely hospitable sales leader to take the reins on group sales for two of Charleston's most distinctive hotels
- Tides Folly Beach and The Vendue, Charleston's first art hotel.
Based out of our Corporate Office, you'll lead the Group Sales & Service teams at both properties while bringing in new business, building lasting client relationships, and growing group, catering, and VIP revenue. In other words: you'll help keep both hotels busy, buzzing, and booked.
LOCATION: 174 E Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401
SALARY: $75,000 - $85,000 annually + Commission + up to a 20% annual bonus!

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and support the Group Sales & Service Managers at Charleston properties
- Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed room night and event revenue goals
- Generate new group business through prospecting, networking, trade shows, industry events, Cvent, Linked In, and other sales channels
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through contract, event coordination, and payment
- Conduct property tours, client meetings, and site visits
- Monitor sales activity, revenue, new business, and lost business while providing regular reporting
- Collaborate closely with Revenue, Operations, Marketing, and property leadership
- Lead daily sales reviews and participate in weekly leadership and strategy meetings
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of hotel sales management experience required; 7+ years preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred; a Hospitality Management degree is a plus!
- Proven ability to lead a sales team and drive revenue
- Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Exceptional hospitality and customer service mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain composed under pressure
- Ability to work across the Corporate Office, Tides Folly Beach, and The Vendue
- Flexible schedule with the ability to support client and property needs
