Role Description The Inside Sales Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN, with some flexibility to work from home. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, handling inbound and outbound sales calls, and preparing quotes for plumbing, HVAC, and related products. The Inside Sales Account Manager will provide product information, process orders, follow up on leads, and support the showroom and commercial teams to drive revenue growth.
Daily activities include maintaining accurate account records, responding promptly to customer inquiries, coordinating with operations and logistics, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services. The role also involves identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, resolving customer issues, and contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Inside Sales and Account Management skills, with experience managing multiple customer accounts and meeting sales goals.
- Demonstrated Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction focus, including timely responses, problem-solving, and follow-through.
- Proven Relationship Building abilities to develop and maintain long-term client partnerships and trust.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical product information clearly.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, HVAC, or building materials is preferred; willingness to learn product lines is essential.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, order entry tools).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time in a fast-paced sales environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications in sales or business are a plus.
