The successful candidate will serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts, building relationships across multiple levels of customer organizations while collaborating internally with technical, marketing, operations, customer service, and product management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Management
Develop and execute annual territory plans aligned with company growth objectives.Analyze market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.Prioritize accounts and opportunities based on revenue potential, profitability, strategic importance, and probability of success.Maintain a robust sales pipeline and drive opportunities through all stages of the sales process.Achieve or exceed assigned sales, profitability, and growth targets.Account Development
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and executive leadership within customer organizations.Develop account-specific growth strategies for existing and target customers.Identify new applications, product opportunities, and market expansion initiatives.Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess performance, uncover opportunities, and strengthen partnerships.Business Development & Commercial Leadership
Lead commercial negotiations involving pricing, contracts, supply agreements, and business terms.Drive opportunity qualification, value proposition development, proposal presentation, and deal closure.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of H&V products, applications, manufacturing capabilities, and customer processes to effectively communicate value propositions and identify growth opportunities.Partner with Business Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Technical Service, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams to develop customer-focused solutions and ensure successful execution of commercial opportunities.Support new product introductions and commercialization initiatives within the territory.Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.Forecasting & Business Planning
Provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.Develop and manage territory sales budgets and growth plans.Monitor market conditions and proactively adjust strategies to achieve business objectives.Maintain accurate customer activity, opportunity, and forecasting information within the company’s CRM platform.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university with at least 3 years of experience in salesExperience selling technical, engineered, industrial, specialty materials, filtration, or other value-added B2B products preferred.Demonstrated experience managing complex customer relationships and sales processes.Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales and profitability targets.Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, customer-focused manner.Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.Demonstrated ability to manage sales as a disciplined process through opportunity management, forecasting, pipeline development, and consistent customer activity reporting.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage geographically dispersed territory.Eligibility Requirements:
Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time, including overnight travel as required.Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screenLocation & Travel Requirements
This is a home-office-based position requiring the ability to independently manage a geographically dispersed territory, balancing customer engagement, territory planning, forecasting, and administrative responsibilities.Preferred residence and ability to travel throughout the Northeastern United States and Canada.
