Business Development Specialist
We're seeking a driven Business Development Specialist to join SymphonyAI's Financial Services division. In this role, you'll be the frontline ambassador for our innovative solutions, tasked with identifying, qualifying, and nurturing high-potential prospects in the financial services space.
You'll work closely with our Sales and Marketing teams, reporting to the V.P. of Sales, and collaborate with Product and Customer Success to ensure seamless prospect handoffs and exceptional customer outcomes. This is a high-impact role where your efforts directly influence revenue growth and market penetration.
What You Will Do
- Prospect and qualify leads within targeted financial services verticals (banking, capital markets, wealth advisories, asset management, insurance and fintech) using a direct value-based sales approach to drive qualified lead generation.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect pain points and map solutions to their specific business needs
- Develop and execute prospecting campaigns through email, phone, social selling, and targeted outreach to build a qualified pipeline
- Maintain organized CRM records, track activity metrics, and report on pipeline development with accuracy and detail
- Partner with Account Executives to seamlessly transition qualified opportunities and ensure strong customer relationships from day one
- Stay current on financial services industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform strategic prospecting
- Hit monthly pipeline targets and contribute to quarterly revenue goals
What You Have
Required:
- 1–4 years of B2B SaaS sales, business development, or financial services experience
- Proven track record of exceeding activity and pipeline targets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate value clearly and concisely
- Comfort with CRM tools (Salesforce, Hub Spot, etc.) and sales engagement platforms
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Background or familiarity with financial services industry (banking, wealth management, insurance, fintech, etc.)
- Experience selling SaaS software solutions or enterprise compliance tools to regulated financial institutions
- Knowledge of AML, Fraud, Financial Crime, Artificial intelligence (ML, Agentic, Predictive Modeling) data analytics, reporting, or compliance-focused technology solutions
- Track record of building and maintaining strong professional networks
What Sets You Apart
You're not just hitting numbers—you're a strategic thinker who genuinely cares about understanding your prospects' challenges and positioning the right solutions. You combine persistence with empathy: comfortable with rejection, but driven by curiosity to uncover real problems and drive meaningful conversations.
You're detail-oriented and organized, with impeccable CRM hygiene and reliable forecasting. You see yourself as part of a broader team and take pride in setting your Account Executive partners up for success. You're excited about financial crime technology, stay informed on market trends, and can speak intelligently with C-suite prospects about business impact, not just features.
Above all, you're hungry to grow, coachable, and ready to make an impact in a role that launches careers.
