The HVAC Service Sales role is a full-time remote position responsible for developing and managing customer relationships within the HVAC and building automation market. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities, preparing and presenting proposals, and collaborating with internal engineering teams to ensure accurate scopes of work. The role involves understanding client needs related to HVAC systems, controls, and service plans, and recommending appropriate solutions that align with project requirements and budgets.
The HVAC Service Sales professional will follow up on leads, maintain a sales pipeline, provide customer support before and after the sale, and coordinate with technical staff to support troubleshooting and preventive maintenance offerings. Regular communication via phone, video calls, and email will be required to drive revenue growth and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation, with the ability to discuss technical solutions confidently with clients.
- Experience with plumbing and related mechanical systems sufficient to understand integrated building services offerings.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to interpret customer issues and coordinate appropriate technical responses or service packages.
- Proven customer service abilities, including clear communication, responsiveness, and relationship-building in a sales or client-facing role.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance concepts and the ability to position maintenance programs as value-added solutions.
- Background in HVAC service sales, mechanical contracting, or building controls is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working remotely, with effective time management, self-direction, and use of CRM and online collaboration tools.
- Relevant technical or business education (e.g., HVAC certification, engineering technology, or business degree) preferred but not required.
