SUMMARY:

As the Social Catering Sales Manager, you will lead the sales, planning, and execution of weddings, galas, and upscale social events, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the entire event journey. Frominitialinquiry through event completion,you'llpartner closely with clients and coordinate seamlessly with hotel and banquet operations to deliver memorable celebrations that exceed expectations.

This role combines the excitement of event sales with the reward of bringing extraordinary moments to life, all while offering hybrid/work-from-home flexibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain appropriate balanceof account maintenance, prospecting for new business, and build profitable relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Catering to implement monthly action plansin order tomeet and exceed the budgeted sales goals and drive top line social catering business.
  • Assist the Director of Catering in developing specific goals and strategies to target wedding business, galabusinessand social business
  • Thorough knowledge of property, space, capacities, concept, and food style (menus). Review and update menus, packages, and upgrades as requested to satisfy client needs and to maximize revenue.
  • Be familiar with the hotel’s competitive set and shared accounts.
  • Effectively cross-sell with sister restaurants and hotels for reference business.
  • Respond to wedding leads, schedule site inspections, create estimates, contract negotiations, host wedding tastings, detail weddings and execute events onsite.
  • Maintainsaccurateand thorough notes and traces for accounts within the PMS and Catering Database.
  • Join and attend local wedding organizations.
  • Adhere to the “Sundown Rule” for all client correspondence.
  • Supervise execution of banquets– requiring nights and weekends as needed.
  • Assistwithadditionalspecialprojects as assigned.
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE WE'RE SEEKING:
  • You’rehighly creative, with strong sales and interpersonal skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hospitality experience, ideally within a restaurant or related banquet setting.
  • Previous structured sales training course is a plus.
  • You’recurrent onweddingindustry trends, and you seek creative ways to infiltrate markets and accounts.
  • Professional phone etiquette, writing skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up skills.
  • You’vegotgreat communication skills both internally and externally.

Experience:
