Job Overview
Voya Financial is hiring a Request For Proposals (RFP) specialist to work with existing and prospective clients on Employee Benefits products. The role supports distribution staff with maintaining broker relationships and proposal responses. Work location is flexible, allowing 100% remote work or a hybrid schedule in major office locations.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and complete standard custom Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and, to a certain extent, independently complete or coordinate moderately complex RFPs and consultant questionnaires.
- Coordinate and conduct planning sessions with sales representatives, underwriters and appropriate subject‑matter experts to address the scope of the RFP, resolve issues, answer product questions, and establish ownership and timelines for completion.
- Assess information needs, conduct research and contact functional representatives to retrieve and coordinate all required information, and manage the RFP process through completion prior to deadlines, including communication with brokers, vendors and outside partners.
- Perform quality reviews of draft and final RFP documents, and conduct peer reviews if needed. Senior team members may take on additional responsibilities such as assignment of work and training.
- Provide flexible resources for other teams during non‑peak seasons, including attendance at benefit fairs for new or existing clients.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years’ experience in a customer service support role.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work with people at various levels.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
The annual base salary range for this position is $53,540 – $66,930 USD. Additional incentive opportunities may be offered based on performance.
