We develop, underwrite, and distribute a proprietary line of commercial insurance products across the United States and Canada utilizing innovative tech infrastructure.
About the RoleWe are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Partner Acquisition Specialist to join our Partnerships team during a critical growth phase. Reporting directly to the Director of Partnerships, you will divide your focus between two vital functions: building and activating new agency and regional wholesale partnerships, and delivering exceptional, ongoing account support.
This is a builder's role in a growing startup. You'll have real ownership over relationships and processes, collaborate to build scalable experiences and the chance to directly impact Foxquilt’s distribution across North America.
Key Responsibilities Partner Activation & Development- Evaluate, route, and onboard prospective agency appointment requests; identify direct appointment growth opportunities
- Manage directly appointed agencies to hit revenue targets, ensure contract compliance, and track KPI dashboards
- Operationalize regional wholesale relationships initiated by Director of Partnerships to drive volume
- Support product expansion initiatives: gather partner feedback, and collaborate with Product and Underwriting teams on product improvements that respond in the market
- Opportunity to own integration operations – SSO and APIs
- Serve as a point of contact for retail agents and wholesale brokers via phone, chat, and email, alongside the partnerships team
- Provide commercial insurance expertise across General Liability (GL), Professional Liability (PL), and Business Owners Policies (BOP), guiding partners through guidelines, declinations, and quote follow-ups
- Process policy management transactions in Applied EPIC (new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations) with speed and precision, as needed.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate partner commission payouts and operational execution
- Plan and deliver partner webinars, training modules, and educational materials
- Gather and report partner feedback to internal Product and Underwriting teams to drive platform enhancements
- 1+ years in commercial insurance (Insurtech, Underwriting, or Digital Distribution preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Insurance, Business, or a related field
- This role is right for someone in the Charlotte area who will work in a hybrid model, or someone working remotely (preference to CST or MST time zones). Travel to the business office occasionally is required. Working time zone is flexible.
- Solid understanding of Commercial General Liability, Professional Liability, and BOP coverages for SMBs
- Highly proficient and curious about software tools, CRM/AMS systems like Hubspot, and API-driven distribution models.
- Resourceful, organized, and capable of prioritizing effectively in a high-velocity startup setting
- Legal entitlement to work in the United States
- Active P&C Insurance License (or willingness to obtain)
- Hands-on experience with Applied EPIC, Hub Spot, or similar CRM/AMS platforms
- Experience working directly with wholesale brokers or MGAs
- Conversational Spanish language skills
- $75,000 – $85,000 annually (depending on experience)
- Up to 15% variable bonus
- $95,000 (Base + Performance Incentive Plan)
