Role DescriptionThis full-time Sales Representative role is a hybrid position based in Sacramento, CA, with a combination of in-office, client site visits, and work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Representative will build and manage relationships with designers, specifiers, purchasing agents, and end users in hospitality, commercial, and healthcare markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying new leads, conducting in-person and virtual product presentations, and providing technical product information and recommendations.
The role involves preparing quotes, following up on proposals, negotiating pricing and terms within company guidelines, and closing sales to meet or exceed revenue targets. The Sales Representative will also monitor market trends, maintain CRM records, collaborate with internal teams on order fulfillment and customer service, and represent Architex at industry events and trade shows.
- Demonstrated sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing deals.
- Strong relationship-building, customer service, and account management capabilities in B2B environments.
- Ability to understand and communicate product features, performance specifications, and design applications clearly.
- Solid organizational, time management, and territory planning skills to manage multiple accounts and projects.
- Proficiency with CRM software, email, and standard office productivity tools; comfort with virtual presentations.
- Experience in textiles, interiors, architecture, furniture, or related design-driven industries is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Sacramento-area territory and to occasional regional events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, self-manage, and meet performance and revenue goals.
