POSITION OVERVIEW

Graphic Designer supports Compass Senior Living communities and Home Office initiatives by creating accurate, engaging, and on-brand visual communications across print and digital formats. The role independently manages multiple projects, priorities, timelines, approvals, and stakeholder communications while maintaining organized, company-accessible design files and resources.

This position partners with community teams, regional leaders, Home Office departments, vendors, and other designers to translate business needs into effective creative solutions. The Graphic Designer is responsible for protecting brand consistency, supporting company wide and community-specific campaigns, coordinating specialized production, maintaining assigned design systems and resources, and providing training and process support.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, responsiveness, sound judgment, and dependable follow-through. The Graphic Designer proactively communicates project status and barriers, performs thorough quality-control reviews, and ensures final materials are accurate, properly formatted, accessible to the Company, and delivered within established timelines.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities unless otherwise assigned.
Graphic Design & Project Management
  • Manage multiple concurrent graphic design projects with clear priorities, realistic timelines, and dependable follow-through.
  • Review incoming requests for completeness, urgency, scope, and required approvals; clarify missing information promptly.
  • Confirm receipt of requests, establish expected timelines, create proofs, manage revisions, secure approvals, and deliver final files in required formats.
  • Maintain visibility of active, pending, blocked, and completed projects and coordinate workload or coverage with other designers as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day creative support for assigned regions and assigned Home Office work.
  • Provide proactive status updates and identify barriers, decisions, or approvals needed before they affect deadlines.
  • Use established request, proofing, approval, and archiving processes consistently.
Brand & Collateral Management
  • Maintain corporate and community logo libraries, brand assets, approved templates, and related creative resources.
  • Create and update business cards, envelopes, folders, letterhead, name badges, notecards, review cards, QR cards, rate materials, tiered sheets, brochures, referral cards, meal cards, and other collateral.
  • Support uniforms, recruitment materials, Warm Welcome items, promotional products, and other branded materials.
  • Maintain editable source files, print-ready files, web-ready files, and archived versions in organized, company-accessible locations.
  • Identify outdated or discontinued materials and remove them from active use in accordance with established processes.
Campaigns, Events & Community Support
  • Develop and maintain company wide and community-specific campaign and incentive graphics.
