Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Yakima Area, with a mix of on-site work at Blueline locations and some work-from-home flexibility. The Retail Whole Goods Technology Salesperson is responsible for promoting equipment and technology solutions, developing customer interest, and driving retail sales of orchard, vineyard, and specialty agricultural products. Day-to-day activities include engaging walk-in and inbound customers, conducting product demonstrations, explaining features and benefits, preparing quotes, and closing sales.
The role also involves maintaining up-to-date product knowledge, following up on leads, supporting marketing initiatives, and collaborating with service teams to ensure a positive customer experience. The salesperson will document customer interactions in company systems, assist with showroom merchandising, and participate in events, trainings, and vendor programs as needed.
Qualifications
- Retail Sales and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a retail or equipment environment.
- Strong Product Knowledge and the ability to learn and explain agricultural equipment and technology solutions in clear, practical terms.
- Customer Service and Communication skills, including active listening, consultative selling, and professional verbal and written communication.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships, manage a sales pipeline, and follow up effectively on leads and inquiries.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting, with reliable transportation to Greater Yakima Area locations and the ability to use digital tools from home.
- Basic proficiency with CRM or sales tracking systems, email, and standard office applications; experience with point-of-sale systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of or interest in agriculture, farm equipment, or outdoor power equipment; prior experience in equipment or technology sales is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or technical training in agriculture, business, or related fields is a plus.
