The Sales Manager (Chemical Distribution Experience) is a full-time position based in Los Angeles, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for driving sales growth in chemical distribution, managing key accounts, and developing new business opportunities in target markets. The Sales Manager will build and maintain relationships with distributors and end customers, negotiate pricing and contracts, and ensure that sales targets and revenue goals are met or exceeded.
Day-to-day tasks include market research, sales forecasting, pipeline management, preparing proposals and presentations, and collaborating with internal teams such as product, finance, and operations to ensure smooth order fulfillment. The role also involves monitoring market trends, providing customer feedback to support product development, and maintaining accurate sales reports and CRM records.
- Proven experience in sales management within chemical distribution or a closely related industry, with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong skills in business development, account management, and customer relationship management, including negotiation and contract management.
- Solid understanding of chemical products, distribution channels, and market dynamics, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear business terms.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, sales analytics, and standard office software to manage pipelines, forecasts, and performance reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and work independently in a hybrid environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed for client meetings, conferences, and site visits.
