The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a Sr. Business Development Manager, Corporate Training Solutions. This position can be home-based.
The Senior Business Development Manager is a player-coach responsible for accelerating the growth of the American Heart Association's corporate CPR, First Aid, AED, and workplace safety training solutions. This role manages a team of four Business Development Managers while maintaining direct responsibility for strategic account acquisition, business development, and revenue generation.

ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader who excels at winning new business, developing talent, and building strategic partnerships. They combine strong leadership capabilities with a passion for growing revenue and expanding access to lifesaving training solutions.
- Lead and develop a team of four Business Development Managers, driving performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Serve as a player-coach by managing key enterprise accounts and personally contributing to revenue goals.
- Identify, pursue, and close new corporate partnerships for CPR, First Aid, AED, and workplace safety training programs.
- Build relationships with executive decision-makers across HR, Learning & Development, Safety, Risk Management, and Operations.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that expand market share and increase customer retention.
- Manage pipeline health, forecasting, contract negotiations, and strategic account planning.
- Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to drive demand generation, customer adoption, and long‑term growth.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of business development, enterprise sales, or strategic account management experience.
- Experience with sales leadership or team management.
- Ability to successfully lead high‑performing teams while achieving individual sales targets.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, coaching, and executive relationship management skills.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including daily travel to partner sites and stakeholders (approximately 70-80%), with occasional overnight travel (approximately 10%).
The expected pay range will be $100,000 to $115,000 . Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
