This is a contract Sales role based in Honolulu, HI with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying potential customers, presenting solar solutions, and guiding prospects through the sales process from initial contact to closing. Sales team members will conduct product demonstrations, follow up on leads, provide clear information about solar benefits and financing options, and maintain accurate records in sales systems.
The role also involves collaborating with customer service and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer experience, participating in training sessions to stay current on products and regulations, and representing Malama Solar at local events and community outreach activities.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage diverse customers respectfully and clearly.
- Proven Sales experience with the ability to meet or exceed targets and effectively manage the sales pipeline.
- Background in Training or coaching to help educate customers and support team learning.
- Experience or interest in Sales Management, including organizing activities, tracking performance, or leading small teams.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Honolulu, HI, with reliable self-management and time management skills.
- Comfort with basic technology tools (CRM systems, email, video calls, and presentation software).
- Knowledge of or interest in renewable energy or solar solutions; prior industry experience is a plus.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive customer interactions.
