Insurance Sales Representative

Hemlock Insurance Group (South Lyon Branch) is looking for a motivated, self-driven Insurance Sales Producer to help grow our personal lines business.

This role is focused on prospecting, relationship building, and new business sales. You'll help clients find the right home, auto, umbrella, and personal insurance solutions while building your own book of business and recurring income.

Our dedicated service team handles day-time policy servicing after the sale, allowing you to focus on prospecting, client relationships, and new business growth. Producers remain responsible for maintaining relationships with their clients and identifying opportunities for additional coverage.

• Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and community relationships.
• Follow up with leads, prepare quotes, and close sales.
• Develop relationships with referral partners and new sources of business.
• Sell home, auto, umbrella, and other personal insurance products.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities within your book of business.
• Maintain accurate prospect and client records.
• Contribute ideas and strategies to help grow the agency.

• Previous insurance or relationship-based sales experience preferred.
• Michigan Property & Casualty license preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Goal-oriented and comfortable prospecting for new business.
• Someone who takes initiative, follows through, and takes ownership of their results.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, following up consistently, and taking ownership of their results. The ideal candidate is comfortable creating business opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.

• Months 1-4:
  Guaranteed compensation of $3,000 per month or earned commission, whichever is greater.
• Months 5-6:
  Guaranteed compensation of $2,500 per month or earned commission, whichever is greater.
• Beginning in month 7:
  Compensation transitions fully to a commission-based structure.
• Producers earn 50% of net agency commission on new and renewal business they produce, subject to the agency's compensation agreement.
• Additional performance incentives may be available based on production and agency growth.
