About theRoleAs a Business Development Manager at LNM
1968, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence in government contracting, commercial sectors, and public agencies. You'll develop proposals, respond to RFPs, manage the sales pipeline, and buildlong-term client relationships that drive sustainable revenue growthfor our aerial photography, LiDAR mapping, and tactical solutions services.
This position requires strong sales experience in B2G(Business-to-Government) and B2B markets, understanding of government contracting (SAM.gov, DVBE/SDVOSB certifications),excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex procurement processes while building trust with decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in government and commercial sectors
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans
- Research and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and government solicitations
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations
- Manage sales pipeline and track business development metrics
- Collaborate with operations team to align capabilities with market demand
- Represent LNM
1968 at industry conferences and networking events
- 5+ years business development or sales experience in B2G/B2
Bmarkets - Proven track record of securing contracts and driving revenue growth
- Understanding of government procurement and contracting processes
- Experience with SAM.gov, RFP responses, and proposal development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently as a 1099contractor
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or geospatialindustries
- Knowledge of drone services, LiDAR, and aerial mapping markets
- Familiarity with DVBE/SDVOSB certifications and set-aside contracts
- Existing relationships with government agencies or engineering firms
- CRM software proficiency (Salesforce, Hub Spot)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
This is a commission-based 1099 contractor position with performance-based incentives. Compensation includes:
