Regional Sales Executive

As a Regional Sales Executive at STEP, you'll drive growth by bringing our full portfolio of products and services to new and existing clients across your territory.

• Be a true team player — flag risks early and jump in wherever needed to support the team's design, implementation, and delivery work.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with leadership, customers, partners, and teammates.
• Stay current on sales trends and best practices, and use those insights to shape smarter processes and policies.
• Trade insights with the STEP team — product knowledge, market intel, and sales tactics — to help everyone win more.
• Lead by example as an ethical, responsive, and reliable member of the STEP sales team in every interaction with customers, manufacturing partners, and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to customers, partners, and colleagues; solve problems proactively and bring STEP's Vision, Mission, and Values to life every day.
• Consistently hit — and beat — monthly and quarterly quotas while keeping a healthy pipeline.
• Turn happy clients into repeat business and referrals by building lasting, trusted partnerships with key accounts.

• Build and grow a network of sources to generate new sales leads.
• Get to know your customers — understand what they need and why.
• Show customers how our products and services solve their specific problems.
• Keep clients engaged with proactive updates on new products, services, and upgrades.
• Deliver regular territory sales forecasts.
• Stay sharp on the products you sell — know them inside and out.
• Travel your territory as needed to be where the business is.
• Run discovery calls, lead presentations, and deliver tailored demos that convert for current and prospective clients.
• Negotiate contracts, handle objections, and close deals that hit revenue targets.
• Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, deepen client relationships, and spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Keep sales forecasts accurate and CRM records up to date in real time.
• Team up with marketing and customer support to deliver a seamless client experience from onboarding onward.
• Track industry trends, competitor moves, and emerging market opportunities.
• Hunt for new business through cold outreach, networking, digital channels, and industry events.

• 5+ years in sales, client-facing, or business roles.
• Knowledge and experience of the E-rate program not required, but preferred.
• Sharp communicator — verbal, written, and interpersonal.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and runs with it.
• Organized and deadline-driven, with strong time-management skills.
• Comfortable in Microsoft Office and similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of hitting or beating targets in a B2B or similar sales environment.
• Driven, resilient, and laser-focused on results.

This is a remote, work from home position with travel required as stated above.
