Our growing team is seeking a Sales Director located within the state of Texas to lead a team of Direct Sales Representatives within the assigned territory. While this is a home-based role, travel is required.
- Manages a direct sales team responsible for selling assigned products and services within a designated geographic region or industry segment.
- Leads a team accountable for self-generating all business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and other outbound business development activities.
- Develops revenue, volume, and market share objectives for the assigned team and market area.
- Establishes and achieves sales and budget goals and executes effective marketing strategies for the products and services sold.
- Builds and maintains profitable customer relationships.
- Identifies and monitors market trends and competitor activity to strengthen the team’s competitive position.
- Develops and administers the annual budget for the assigned area.
- Cultivates relationships with industry associations and community networks to expand market opportunities.
- Trains, motivates, coaches, and provides daily leadership to the assigned sales team.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically eight to 10 years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel
- Advanced knowledge of sales and sales strategies
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
- Effective customer service/relations skills
- Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
- Ability to make important decisions independently
