The Amlon Group is seeking a driven and strategically minded
Business Development Manager. This role is responsible for expanding our inbound waste portfolio by sourcing, qualifying, and securing non-hazardous and hazardous industrial waste streams from manufacturers, refineries, and brokers across the region. The ideal candidate brings deep regulatory awareness, strong technical competency in waste characterization, and a consultative selling approach that aligns customer needs with Amlon’s treatment capabilities. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships and promote Amlon's recycling, treatment, storage, and disposal capabilities around the Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi area.
Responsibilities:
- The Business Development Manager will identify, introduce, develop, and nurture business relationships with companies and individuals within their designated territory. The Business Development Manager’s goal is to generate and maximize revenue for all Plants and the company overall.
- Identify, qualify, and onboard generators of non-hazardous and hazardous industrial waste streams aligned with Treatment Storage and Disposal Facility.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow materials volume and margin.
- Coordinate with Operations, Compliance, and Logistics to ensure all materials meet facility acceptance and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain full opportunity lifecycle management in Hub Spot CRM — from prospecting through deal close.
- Participate in proposal creation, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations in coordination with management.
- Represent Amlon at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
- Prospecting - strategically prospect in our customer base including industrial services, oil & gas, environmental remediation, waste-generating industrial, and nontraditional accounts in coordination with the director of sales. Utilize data collected from Linked In, industry associations, environmental conferences, manufacturing contacts, waste generators, and other business development resources.
- Provide customer and market feedback to support ongoing commercial and operational strategy refinement.
- Support cross-divisional collaboration with other Amlon business units to identify multi-line opportunities and bundled solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of The Amlon Group’s capabilities, the oil & gas industry, and factors influencing the market environment.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Metallurgy, or Business (or equivalent industry experience).
- Up to 3+ years of experience in environmental services, hazardous waste management, industrial services, chemical manufacturing, refining, petrochemical, wastewater, recycling, or related industrial markets.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC Card
- Knowledge of EPA and state regulations affecting recyclable and RCRA-exempt materials.
- Proven track record of consultative sales and territory development.
- CRM proficiency (Hub Spot preferred) and strong digital communication skills.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
The employee will be required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Regular travel by car and airplane is required to visit customer facilities and company locations. The position operates in both home office and plant environments. PPE is required while in any plant or warehouse.
