The Agency Development Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in McKinney, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the individual will recruit, train, and develop a local agency sales team, focusing on growing market presence and achieving sales and service goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching agents, supporting prospecting and client relationship activities, and collaborating with leadership to implement sales strategies and performance initiatives.
The Agency Development Manager will monitor key metrics, provide regular performance feedback, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The role also involves representing Colonial Life in the community, building partnerships with employers and brokers, and promoting the company’s workplace benefits solutions.
- Strong sales leadership and team development skills, including experience coaching, mentoring, and motivating sales professionals.
- Proven abilities in business development, relationship management, and territory growth within insurance, financial services, or a related field.
- Solid communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage employers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Organizational and analytical skills to manage pipelines, track performance metrics, and use data to guide decisions.
- Comfort with technology, including CRM tools, virtual meeting platforms, and basic office software.
- Previous experience in voluntary benefits, employee benefits, or commercial insurance is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- State insurance licensing or willingness and ability to obtain required licenses within a designated timeframe.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site responsibilities in McKinney, TX, with remote work as needed.
