Total Compensation Package:
Approximately $140,885 at quota

Compensation Consists of:

• $70,895 base salary
• $60,000 commission at quota
• $10,000 bonus potential

We are currently hiring for an Outside Sales Consultant in New York City within one of the 5 boroughs. This position is an exempt full-time remote position. The person must reside within their territory (field-based position). The base salary for this position is $70,895.00 annually, plus commission and bonus potential as described above. • This position is responsible for sales into K-12 School Libraries, Public Libraries and Classroom Solutions. Join a team that makes a positive impact on education and literacy by empowering educators and putting books into kids' hands.
• The Outside Sales Consultant will be responsible for driving sales growth across current and prospective school districts and sites to support selling the full portfolio of Follett content library and classroom, books, early childhood materials, digital content, technology platforms that support digital, eFairs, as well as value added services and products. This role is accountable for identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with key decision makers, and growing revenue across the assigned territory.
• The Outside Sales Consultant will also prospect, develop, and grow current and prospective public libraries selling the full portfolio of Follett Public Library books, value-added services and products while fostering ongoing relationships leading to consistent sales growth.
• Proactively prospect, develop, and grow new business through consistent field activity, including onsite customer meetings, school and public library visits, and targeted outreach across assigned accounts.
• Promote, demonstrate, and sell the value of all assigned product lines and services as described by company utilizing a shared Outside/Inside sales model. Focus selling efforts primarily on district level contacts and partner with inside sales team on site-based selling.
• Build, maintain, and advance a healthy sales pipeline. Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through presentation, proposal, follow-up, and close—with clear next steps and accurate forecasting.
• Meet established sales quotas, revenue growth targets, new-business expectations, and other sales performance objectives relevant to the position. Monitor voice mail and e-mail daily and company correspondence and respond appropriately.
• Attend and participate in local, regional and national exhibits, webinars, trade shows and sales meetings as scheduled.
• Liaise and maintain communication with sales support groups within the company, library service consultants, technical support, curriculum alignment, sales management and other internal departments to respond to inquiries and to follow-up as needed.
