We work with clients in government, not-for-profit organizations, landowners, mining, oil and gas, and renewables, and we focus on challenging endeavors and cutting-edge science. We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our biophysical team in a dynamic, small-team setting.
Our biophysical program spans diverse ecosystems and focuses on wetlands, vegetation assessment and ecology, and rangelands. Role Description
Tannas Conservation Services Ltd. (TCS) is seeking a Senior Ecologist with 10+ years of experience who has a strong understanding of the regulatory environment in Alberta and strong project management skills. This role will support a team of ecologists and does not require expertise in every subject area. The position will work on a mix of projects including regulatory applications, ecology and management planning, and restoration ecology. The role is suited to a motivated, detail-oriented professional who can work independently, has strong technical writing skills and project management skills.
While skills in all disciplines are not required, knowledge in rangeland ecology, wildlife, wetlands, vegetation, soils, reclamation, and ecology is an asset. At TCS, we have a culture of collaboration and team members often support each other on various programs. This fosters the development of comprehensive ecological skills within our team, provides valuable opportunities for team building and learning, and enables us to meet complex client needs.
