Overview

Ecologist — Permanent role in the Rail Industry. Site location – Mainly sites across South of England. Candidate location – ideally south of England but flexible. Hybrid – Field work and home based. Salary – £35,000 – £45,000 + Company car / allowance.

• Support a wide range of ecology-related activities across multiple rail contracts throughout the UK, with a particular focus on projects in the South of England and Wales.
• Lead, advise and upskill the business on mitigation strategies for protected species, including dormice, otters, great crested newts, and badgers.

• Salary – £35,000 – £45,000

• At least 5 years’ experience in an ecologist role
• Full UK driving licence
• Named ecologist on a dormouse mitigation licence
• Experience working with dormouse, GCN, badger, and otter

• Experience on rail projects
• BS 42020 / CIEEM membership
• Ideally based within the south of England but other locations will be considered
