Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Wildlife Biologist, based in Sacramento, CA, with some work from home flexibility. The Wildlife Biologist will conduct field surveys, habitat assessments, and monitoring for various species and habitats. Responsibilities include preparing detailed reports, conducting wildlife and vegetation assessments, assisting in habitat restoration projects, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The role also involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, data collection, and GIS analysis to support project goals.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Wildlife Biology and Wildlife Management practices, with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Expertise in identifying and studying Wildlife, Fish, and their habitats.
  • Strong background in Botany and habitat restoration techniques.
  • Experience in permitting processes, data analysis, and the use of GIS tools.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of multidisciplinary teams in both field and office environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Previous fieldwork experience and knowledge of California ecosystems are highly desirable.
