Job Description ##

Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated Seasonal Vector Ecologist to work for the Center for Vector-borne Infectious Diseases at the CSU. The candidate will be based in Oregon and conduct tick and tick-borne disease surveillance in partnership with the State of Oregon Public Health Division.## Essential

Job Duties:

* Conducting tick collections in natural areas of Southern Oregon
* Collect and summarize tick data## Conditions of Employement:

Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)## Supervision:

This position has no supervises and will be managed by Dr. Elizabeth Hemming-Schroeder.##

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must be able to work 8 to 20 hours per week.
* Willing to travel to field sites in Southern Oregon.
* Willing to hike in natural areas for tick collections.
* Ability to work in collaborative teams.
* Ability to follow safety guidelines.##

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with ecological field work.
* Experience working in a public health or lab setting.# Salary Range $15.16 to $20.00 per hour# Required Application Documents
