Your OpportunitySeveral opportunities exist for highly motivated, personable, and organized wildlife field technicians
. These positions will be based out of our Topsham, Maine office but will be physically located at a remote field site in northern Maine. As talented and ambitious professionals, you will be working with a multi-disciplinary team executing field work on an operational wind energy project. These positions require travel and independent work on remote field sites. We are looking for reliable and dependable individuals to fulfill environmental compliance tasks with strong attention to detail and a high regard for quality data collection and reporting.
You will work directly with Stantec’s project manager with day-to-day coordination with our client. Background experience in bird and bat identification is preferred. This position will be full time each week from approximately April 13 – October 16, 2026, with potential for opportunities beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Search wind turbines for bird and bat fatalities and documenting required data
- Execute field work independently and safely
- Communicate regularly with the project manager regarding data collection and progress
- Interface with operations personnel at the operating wind project and comply with safety and security protocols
- Data entry and quality review
