Job Summary

Rangefront Mining Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Recruiter to support staffing efforts for remote exploration and mining projects in Alaska and other remote locations across North America. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, and placing geology and field-based professionals – including exploration geologists, core loggers, field mappers, geo-technicians, and field assistants – who support our clients in challenging, logistically complex environments.

The ideal candidate has proven experience recruiting for geology or field-based roles, understands the unique demands of remote and FIFO (fly-in/fly-out) work, and thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven staffing environment. The selected candidate must be located in the state of Alaska – preferably in Anchorage or Fairbanks.

Responsibilities Geology Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
  • Proactively source geology and exploration candidates for Alaska-based and remote exploration projects, including FIFO roles.
  • Recruit for positions such as exploration geologists, core logging geologists, field mappers, geo-technicians, and geology field assistants.
  • Utilize Linked In, job boards, industry networks, university programs, and referrals to build a strong and reliable candidate pipeline.
  • Maintain long‑term relationships with geology professionals to support seasonal, recurring, and rapid‑response staffing needs.
  • Develop talent pools aligned with remote work readiness and exploration skill sets.
Screening & Interviewing
  • Conduct phone and virtual interviews to assess technical qualifications, exploration experience, and ability to work in remote camp environments.
  • Evaluate candidates for physical readiness, safety awareness, schedule flexibility, and adaptability to Alaska field conditions.
  • Review resumes for experience in exploration drilling, mapping, sampling, core logging, and field support roles.
  • Verify credentials, degrees, certifications (e.g., MSHA), and work eligibility requirements.
Remote Placement & Onboarding Coordination
  • Match qualified candidates with client projects based on skill set, experience level, remote work capability, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate pre‑hire steps including background checks, drug screens, I‑9/E‑Verify, and required documentation.
  • Support onboarding for remote projects, including safety training, paperwork, PPE coordination, and site‑specific requirements.
  • Ensure candidates are fully prepared for travel, camp life, and client expectations prior to deployment.
Candidate Experience & Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Clearly communicate job expectations, FIFO schedules, compensation details, rotation lengths, and travel logistics.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal operations teams and clients regarding staffing needs and project timelines.
  • Deliver a professional, positive candidate experience that reflects Rangefront’s commitment to quality and transparency.
ATS & Recruitment Administration
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Track hiring progress across multiple remote projects and report status to internal teams.
  • Support hiring metrics, reporting, and compliance documentation as required.
Qualifications
  • 2–4+ years of recruiting or staffing experience, preferably supporting geology, mining, exploration, or other field‑based technical roles.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing and placing candidates for remote or Alaska-based projects.
  • Strong understanding of geology and exploration job functions and terminology.
  • Highly skilled in sourcing through Linked In, job boards, and proactive outreach.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems (Bullhorn preferred).
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active requisitions.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven environment with changing project needs.
