True Pani Inc., an environmental consulting and communications firm, is seeking an environmental associate to join a passionate team tackling water quality projects focused on reducing lead in drinking water.
The position is full-time. Candidates must be based in Oklahoma or willing to immediately relocate (a $2,000 relocation stipend will be provided) and be available to start work as soon as possible no later than July 2026.
The position will include frequent travel to client sites to collect water samples. This may include overnight travel ing days when travel is not required, work will be completed remotely from a home office. Days collecting samples are typically a schedule of 6 AM to 3 PM, with an hour lunch break. Days working remote are typically 9 AM to 5 PM.
The interview process will consist of three rounds of interviews
, the third interview is technical in nature.
- Collect water samples at client sites, mostly schools and child care facilities across the state of New Mexico
- Coordinate and schedule sampling visits
- Create sampling plans
- Conduct outreach (phone calls and emails) to clients
- Manage and analyze project data
- Write technical reports
- Collect information on a digital device while in the field
- Travel to client meetings and review existing water infrastructure plan documents
The majority of work for this role will be on projects within True Pani’s lead in drinking water project portfolio. The Environment Associate will work to complete tasks (e.g., sample collection, coordinating travel, reporting, data management, project outreach) as delegated. Environmental Associates will have the opportunity to interface with clients, and travel to site visits, client meetings, and conferences.
Successful individuals in this role are highly motivated and able to work both within teams and independently. Candidates should be able to anticipate work that needs to be completed and be able to "wear many hats" by assisting with various duties across several projects.
The position may require walking around client sites, may include climbing stairs, and may require lifting up to 50 pounds. We will train the right person to collect building water samples to be delivered to the lab for analysis in addition to maintaining a detailed sample log.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Background checks will be required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for at least the last two years is required.
Required Qualifications- Degree in environmental science or a related field
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience in the water industry (could include internship experience)
- Experience collecting environmental samples
- Data collection, management, visualization, and reporting
- Technical writing experience
