Summer Internship in Geology Fieldwork

Join Barrick as an exploration geology intern this summer in Ontario and Quebec. Engage in field mapping and geochemical programs during a vibrant exploration season.

This temporary internship, starting mid-May 2026, offers a chance to immerse yourself in geology with hands-on activities such as geological mapping, bedrock, and till sampling. Interns will work closely with a team of geologists to compile and interpret crucial geological data while maintaining high safety standards. This role focuses on finding new exploration opportunities in remote settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in field data collection and mapping

• Assist with geological data compilation and interpretation

• Collect bedrock and till samples accurately

• Help maintain safety and quality assurance in field operations

• Support logistical tasks related to sample management

Requirements:

• Enrollment in an undergraduate program in Geology or Geological Engineering

• Experience in remote work is advantageous

• Strong interest in ore-deposit geology and structural mapping

• Bilingual in English and French

• Valid driving license is necessary
