Halpin Robbins are seeking to recruit a Senior Ecologist to join our friendly team. Based in the south-west, we extend our services across England and Wales, including ecological impact assessments, environmental permitting and much more.

We are a supportive team passionate about our work and influence within the planning process. With our expanding project portfolio, we are looking to add an additional senior position to our team.
About You- ~4+ years’ experience in ecological consultancy
- Hold a minimum of two survey licenses (bats and dormice preferred)
- Full Member of CIEEM or Associate Member working towards Full Membership
- Experience in leading and managing protected species and habitat surveys
- Professional liaison with clients and colleagues
- Strong report writing and reviewing of technical reports and license applications (including EcIA, EPSLs, BNG)
- Experience in acting as Named Ecologist and/or accredited agent on EPSL licenses
- Good understanding of UK planning policy and legislation and ability to think creatively to solve ecological challenges.
- Experience in delivering successful Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and management plans
- Experience preparing and reviewing fee proposals and managing project budgets
- Willingness to represent the company in client meetings and consultations
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in UK
