Mercor is looking for an AI Safety Specialist fluent in English and Telugu for a remote contract position. Help safeguard AI by identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks effectively.

The role involves red teaming AI models and generating high-quality human data to enhance safety measures. You will work independently, ensuring flexible hours while documenting and reporting critical findings in the safety assessment process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test conversational AI models for jailbreaks and misuse

• Generate human data through data annotation

• Maintain structure by following benchmarks and playbooks

• Produce actionable reports and datasets for clients

• Collaborate asynchronously to enhance AI model safety

Requirements:

• Proficient in English and Telugu

• Red teaming experience in adversarial AI and cybersecurity

• Clear communication skills for various stakeholders

• Knowledge of socio-technical risk analysis preferred

• Background in creative probing like acting or writing recommended
