GCL Environmental Ltd. offers students a chance to gain hands-on field experience this summer as a Field Technician in Southern Alberta. Embrace a role that blends remote work with exciting field-based environmental tasks.

As a Summer Field Technician, you’ll support various environmental programs including site assessments and soil sampling. This internship is ideal for students pursuing Environmental Science or related fields, focusing on developing technical skills, learning regulatory frameworks, and gaining mentorship from experienced consultants in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments

• Conduct soil and vegetation assessments in the field

• Manage logistics and safety protocols for fieldwork

• Utilize mapping software and data tools for documentation

• Participate in post-field reporting and data analysis

Requirements:

• Enrolled in Environmental Science, Biology, or related program

• Exposure to environmental fieldwork techniques

• Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract

• Strong communication and attention to detail

• Bonus:
First Aid, WHMIS, or GIS experience
