Clinical Research Financial Analyst
Job Description
The Clinical Research Financial Analyst will reside within the Office of Cancer Research and work under the direction of a Department Research Finance Manager. This role involves performing high-level clinical research administration functions and supporting entry-level and mid-level colleagues. The analyst will handle various pre-award and post-award activities for a portfolio of clinical research studies, including tasks such as calendar builds, coverage analysis, budget development and negotiation, sponsor invoicing, and study closeout activities.

Responsibilities
+ Manage the financial aspects of assigned clinical research projects.
+ Plan, develop, monitor, and coordinate departmental research administrative activities.
+ Collaborate with faculty and researchers on sponsored research projects and financial management.
+ Handle a diverse set of funding types for clinical research in hematology-oncology.
+ Serve as a liaison for research administrative matters among department, research administration, faculty, divisional leaders, and other hospital and university departments.
Essential Skills
+
Experience with clinical trial billing, oncology, and clinical trial finances.
+ Proficiency in using CTMS, Workday as the ERP system, and EPIC as the EMR.
+ Experience in clinical research, preferably in oncology.
+ Familiarity with reviewing coverage analysis, budgets, and clinical trial agreements.
+ At least three to five years of experience in a research/academic environment involving federal and non-federal funding.

Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, or at least 10 years of relevant research administration experience.
+ Oncology clinical research experience preferred.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including MDs, PhDs, and research and administrative staff.
+ Knowledge of microcomputers, peripheral equipment, networks, and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Windows.
Work Environment
This position is 100% remote, with no restrictions on location within the United States. The Clinical Research Financial Analyst will report to the Research Finance Manager and work within a team of three other members.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Providence, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.86/hr.
