Wetland Scientist
This role supports environmental consulting efforts focused on wetland and natural resource projects across Pennsylvania, with a heavy emphasis on transportation-related work. The Environmental Scientist will lead wetland delineations, perform field assessments, and contribute to environmental documentation and permitting efforts. This individual will balance fieldwork and report writing while mentoring junior staff on technical execution.
Responsibilities- Lead wetland delineations and natural resource field studies.
- Conduct stream and ecological assessments.
- Prepare NEPA-related documentation, including categorical exclusions.
- Support PADEP Chapter 105 permit applications.
- Mentor and train junior environmental staff.
- Maintain organization and client communication throughout projects.
- Complete technical reports and documentation.
- Experience in NEPA documentation.
- Expertise in natural resources, particularly with PennDOT and PA Turnpike projects.
- Proficiency in wetland delineation.
- Strong skills in environmental compliance and due diligence.
- Ability to independently lead fieldwork and mentor junior staff.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong client interaction and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in field settings.
- Willingness to travel locally to project sites daily.
- Familiarity with regional environmental regulations in Pennsylvania.
The position offers a hybrid and field‑based work environment. Remote work is allowed for report writing. A company vehicle is provided for fieldwork. The role requires being in the field five days a week during peak seasons (spring–fall), with a reduced field workload during winter months. The culture is strong, with social events, team engagement activities, and minimal micromanagement. Employees can build their own schedules and enjoy hybrid/remote options.

Permanent position based in King of Prussia, PA.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $70,000.00 – $ per year.
Profit sharing, 401(k) 4% match, healthcare options (basic pay up to 85% of premium, includes family HSA and HMO), PTO (approximately 4 weeks, 7 personal/sick days, 8 holidays that can be used at any time).
