Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Review Plans:
Analyze sewage planning modules, policies, and regulations to determine compliance and recommend actions. - Conduct Assessments:
Visit sites to evaluate on‑lot and stream discharge systems and gather field information. - Support Compliance:
Examine work performed by sewage enforcement officers and provide feedback on performance. - Prepare Analyses:
Create technical summaries and documentation that support program decisions. - Engage Communities:
Interact with officials and residents to explain program requirements and address concerns.
- Full‑time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. - Salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases.
- Four years of technical experience in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field.
- Or a bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field.
- Or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants within 3 months of graduating may be considered.
- Special Requirement:
Possession of an active motor vehicle license. - Must meet PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
