Project Officer – Division of Psychological Medicine and Clinical Neurosciences

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Officer to join our dynamic research team within the Mental Health Goals (MHG) Omics programme.

• Provide essential support to the Project Manager, ensuring successful delivery of the MHG Omics project.
• Lead a variety of operational and customer‑service tasks, including financial monitoring, budgeting and reporting on project outcomes.
• Manage administrative aspects such as requesting and monitoring project contracts with partner organisations and supporting academic staff.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

The MHG Omics programme is a UK‑wide initiative funded by the UK Government to establish the world’s largest multi‑omic cohort of people with psychosis and mood disorders, linking clinical and real‑world health data to identify biomarkers for personalised treatments.

• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written, oral and financial communication skills.
• Strong organisational and proactive initiative.
• Effective team player with proven independence.

• Full‑time (35 hours per week), fixed‑term until 31 March 2030.
• Blended working basis – blend on‑campus and remote work.
• Annual leave 45 days plus bank holidays.

• Annual pay increments within the scale.
• Support includes one‑to‑ones, mentoring, training and development.

£33,951 – £36,636 per annum (Grade
5).
