AECOM Senior Biologist

Position: AECOM Senior Biologist – Hybrid Role
Join AECOM as a Senior Biologist in Burnaby, BC, and apply your expertise in a hybrid work setting. This role focuses on leadership in ecological project management and permitting.

As part of AECOM’s Ecology team, you will leverage your 6+ years of experience to manage environmental projects and mentor junior staff. Your in-depth understanding of British Columbia’s environmental regulations and processes will be key in advancing major infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior technical guidance in environmental assessments

• Support interdisciplinary teams in project approvals

• Engage clients and regulators in planning discussions

• Oversee development of technical deliverables and reports

• Prepare budgets and proposals for environmental initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree related to environmental science

• 6+ years of relevant consulting experience

• Registered Professional designation in BC

• Field experience with aquatic biology assessments

• Strong knowledge of provincial environmental legislation
