Take on the role of an Environmental Field Specialist focused on assessments. Conduct remote evaluations in timber and soils, ensuring regulatory compliance with field project management.
Under the guidance of senior staff, this position drives field assessments and project management across Alberta. You will evaluate environmental factors and address regulatory requirements effectively. Experience in project management and various regulatory processes will enhance your contributions, especially during field visits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct fieldwork for timber, vegetation, and soil assessments
• Oversee project management and report generation
• Prepare and submit applications for crown land dispositions
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies for compliance assurance
• Conduct work both remotely and in the field
Requirements:
• Degree in natural resource management or environmental sciences
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field
• Professional designation with applicable colleges
• Familiarity with Alberta land-use and environmental policies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
