About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Remote Sustainable Agriculture Consultant to join their global advisory team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to leverage your expertise to guide agricultural producers worldwide towards more environmentally sound and economically viable practices. You will analyze current farming operations, develop customized sustainability plans, and provide ongoing support to clients looking to reduce their ecological footprint and improve long-term productivity.
This role is instrumental in promoting responsible agriculture and requires a deep understanding of ecological principles, agricultural science, and policy, from the convenience of your home office, impacting farming communities across various regions.
- Assess existing agricultural practices for their environmental impact and resource efficiency.
- Develop and recommend tailored strategies for sustainable farming, including organic methods, water management, and biodiversity enhancement.
- Provide expert advice on transitioning to regenerative agriculture practices and improving soil health.
- Assist clients in navigating environmental regulations and obtaining sustainability certifications.
- Conduct research on emerging trends and best practices in sustainable agriculture globally.
- Deliver training and workshops (virtual) to farmers and agricultural professionals on sustainability topics.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in consulting or implementing sustainable agricultural projects.
- In-depth knowledge of ecological farming systems, soil science , and agroecology.
- Familiarity with environmental impact assessment methodologies and sustainability metrics.
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, and virtual presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects in a remote setting , supporting operations focused on positive environmental change.
