Role descriptionOur two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, sitting along client work and real projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to. You will build your technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, whilst business acumen and professional skills will be developed through centrally delivered graduate cohort training.
Although there are no formal rotations, graduates are encouraged and supported by their managers to proactively seek opportunities, to broaden their experience and support their development.
As a specialist and science graduate joining GROW you will specialise from day one in your chosen discipline. Working in teams of consultants you’ll be responsible for your own deliverables, liaising with clients, and given every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. You’ll work on a range of environmental and planning projects which may include major infrastructure, urban regeneration and community focused projects that will expose you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists.
Roleaccountabilities
Geo-Environmental - As part of the Geo-Environmental discipline within our multi-award-winning Site Evaluation and Restoration team you will undertake site-based ground investigations to determine the nature and quality of ground conditions for purposes including geological / geotechnical assessment, soil contamination and groundwater quality. This data will then be used to either inform design decisions or determine the need for environmental restoration, which would be designed, implemented, and validated to bring the site back into suitable use and protect the environment from harmful impacts.
As a student, you will work as part of the project teams and undertake site work, including soil & groundwater sampling and site supervision, as well as desk-based research and report writing.
BSc (or higher) in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science, Geophysics, Chemistry, Environmental Consultancy or similar.
Qualifications & Experience- You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2025 or 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree
- You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
- You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
- Willing to travel and stay away from homewhen required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
- Hold a full driving license which allows you to drive in the UK
- You must be willing and able to travel frequently and stay away from home as required. A significant portion of your time will involve site work, which may require extended periods away from your home office.
