Petroleum Geologist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Petroleum Geologist to join their exploration team, supporting a remote-first operational model. You will be instrumental in identifying and evaluating potential hydrocarbon resources through the interpretation of geological and geophysical data. This role requires a deep understanding of subsurface geology and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams worldwide. • Interpret seismic, well log, and core data to delineate potential oil and gas reservoirs.
• Develop regional and prospect-level geological models and contribute to subsurface mapping.
• Identify drilling targets and recommend exploration strategies based on geological assessments.
• Collaborate with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and drilling engineers throughout the exploration lifecycle.
• Perform geological risk assessments and contribute to prospect economic evaluations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological interpretation techniques and technologies.

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology or Geophysics.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in petroleum exploration geology.
• Proficiency with geological software and interpretation tools (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of sedimentary basins , structural geology, and sequence stratigraphy.
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to integrate diverse datasets, and strong communication capabilities.
• Experience working effectively in a remote collaborative environment .
