Remote Principal Geoscientist - Exploration Strategy

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Remote Principal Geoscientist to lead the development and implementation of their global exploration strategy. This is a senior, fully remote position that allows you to shape the future of mineral exploration from anywhere in the world. You will be responsible for identifying prospective regions, evaluating new exploration technologies, and guiding the company's exploration efforts towards discovering significant new mineral resources.

This role requires a deep understanding of geological principles, advanced exploration techniques, and strategic thinking to drive impactful discovery.

• Develop and refine the company's global exploration strategy, identifying target commodities and geographic areas.
• Evaluate and recommend the adoption of innovative exploration technologies, including remote sensing, AI, and advanced geophysics.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to exploration teams worldwide.
• Conduct high-level reviews of exploration projects, assessing risks and potential returns.
• Collaborate with senior management to secure funding and resources for strategic exploration initiatives.
• Stay at the forefront of geoscience research and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge in mineral exploration.

• PhD in Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry, or a related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, with a significant portion in strategic leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success in discovering commercially viable mineral deposits.
• Expertise in multiple exploration methodologies and a broad understanding of global geological terrains.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders globally.
