Exploration Geologist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated Exploration Geologist to join their remote team, contributing to identifying and evaluating new prospective areas for resource development. This position is central to the company's growth strategy in the Oil & Gas sector , focusing on analyzing geological data, identifying potential targets, and providing technical guidance for exploration activities. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will collaborate closely with geoscientists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers globally, utilizing cutting-edge technology and fostering a culture of data-driven decision‑making, innovation, and continuous professional development.

• Analyze geological, geophysical, and geochemical data to identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon prospects.
• Develop and refine geological models for unexplored basins and existing fields.
• Interpret seismic data and well logs to delineate structural and strati graphic traps.
• Prepare geological reports, prospect evaluations, and recommendations for exploration drilling programs.
• Collaborate with the exploration team to define regional exploration strategies and work programs.
• Stay abreast of new exploration technologies and geological concepts relevant to the Oil & Gas industry .

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in exploration geology , with a strong focus on subsurface interpretation.
• Proven experience with seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite) and GIS tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
• Strong understanding of sedimentary basin analysis, structural geology, and stratigraphy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex geological concepts.
