Geophysicist - Seismic Interpretation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Geophysicist with expertise in seismic interpretation to join their exploration team in a fully remote capacity. This role is vital for the discovery and evaluation of potential oil and gas reserves. You will be responsible for processing, analyzing, and interpreting seismic data to identify geological structures and strati graphic features indicative of hydrocarbon accumulation. Working independently and collaborating with geologists and other geoscientists globally, you will contribute to defining exploration strategies and prioritizing drilling targets.

• Process and interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to identify geological structures and strati graphic plays.
• Utilize advanced seismic interpretation software and techniques to build subsurface models.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs, gravity, and magnetic data for a comprehensive subsurface understanding.
• Perform amplitude and attribute analysis to de-risk exploration prospects.
• Collaborate with geological and reservoir engineering teams to validate exploration concepts.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for exploration reviews.

• Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in seismic data processing and interpretation within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency with industry-standard geophysical software (e.g., Petrel, Hampson Russell, Geo Depth).
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing workflows, and their impact on interpretation.
• Experience in basin analysis and prospect evaluation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suitable for a remote working environment.
