About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Geophysicist specializing in Seismic Analysis to join their remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting complex seismic data to identify potential oil and gas reservoirs and guide exploration efforts. You will work from anywhere, collaborating virtually with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other geoscientists globally. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge exploration projects, leverage advanced data processing techniques, and play a key part in discovering new energy resources, all within a flexible, remote-first work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Acquire, process, and interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to delineate subsurface structures and identify hydrocarbon traps.
- Utilize advanced seismic imaging techniques, such as pre-stack depth migration, to enhance subsurface visualization.
- Integrate seismic data with well logs, gravity, and magnetic data for comprehensive subsurface interpretation.
- Generate prospect maps and volumetric assessments to support exploration drilling decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with remote multidisciplinary teams through virtual communication platforms.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geophysical techniques and software.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Geology, or a related Earth Science field.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in seismic data interpretation, preferably within the oil and gas exploration sector.
- Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite, Hampson Russell).
- Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and attribute analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex geophysical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
